Edge-TINC is a proof-of-concept implementation of a decentralized Function-as-a-Service edge-network gateway with computing and storage capabilities. It aims to promote the notion of “in-network computing” by prioritizing the aspect of secure processing.
The platform is composed of different components:
- Resource allocation through auctions
- Secure Processing using Intel SGX
- Function-as-a-Service (using ICN/NDN plugin)
- Task Prioritization and Outsourcing
The platform is at a stable version (Edge-tinc-v1.0) while a new roadmap has been set for further improvements.
